Little Free Library & Prayer Bowl
In 2012, St. Luke’s built and installed the Outdoor Prayer Bowl and a Little Free Library.
The Outdoor Prayer Bowl, installed in October 2012, is an extension of St. Luke’s practice of praying for each other throughout the week. Each week, parishioners asks for prayers by putting their written prayers in a bowl, and the prayers are then handed out during Sunday worship for people to take home and pray for during the week. With the outdoor prayer bowl, we reach out to our neighbors and invite them to put their written prayers in the bowl so that we can add their prayers to ours and pray for them during the week.
The Little Free Library, installed in August 2012, partakes in a mission to promote literacy and the love of reading by building a worldwide free book exchange.
